This One Takes the Cake

This is my first Daring Bakers effort.

So far so good. I was a bit pressed for time

when I made it. Also, a good cause

I know asked for baked items they

needed for a function. And it was

the day before Easter. So I thought

I'd kill two birds. This is supposed to

be a lamb.

Please don't laugh too hard!!!

This truly takes the cake!!!

hahahaha! I love it. This must rate with the bacon version as the most interesting variation on our theme. You are very clever.

I love the lamb! The coconut in the frosting is perfect for fleece. :-) Where did you find the cool mold?

Thank you all for your kind words.
Marye, I got the mold years and years ago in an "antique" store.
I don't think they are a rarity.
Probably some cake decorating company (can't remember the name)
would have one.

Morven, bacon??? I have to see that!

Ohhh, your lamb is adorable!! I absolutely love your cake! It's the cutest cake ever! It also brought a huge smile to my day, because I grew up on a sheep farm... Your cake reminded me of happy childhood memories - both of the farm and of baking! :-)
